Sandstone Group Website
This website is the home of the Southern Sandstone Group.
The group was formed to maintain the existence of the Southern Sandstone Award, an award for local climbing instructors, in Sussex. The award is administered in other counties in the south east by local County Councils.

This award provides evidence that a candidate has been assessed in the competencies necessary to instruct rock climbing on the southern sandstone crags of south-east England. The award is not valid elsewhere. For those interested in teaching climbing at other crags, please refer to the national schemes for climbing awards from Mountain Leader Training UK at: www.mltuk.org
